Which altitude is right for me?
Pick the tool you'll actually keep using
There's no prize for picking the hardest altitude, and no reason to reach for Scout or Code just because they sound more advanced. The goal is to get better with a surface you'll use day to day - so pick the one you can see yourself coming back to after the session, and build there. Cowork, Scout, and Code all get you to something that works.
🟢CoworkNo setup - point and go. Nothing to install or configure out of the box. Build entirely in chat by describing what you need. The place to start if you'd rather not touch a terminal.
🔵ScoutSome setup - M365 + a GitHub account. Expect some permission and connection config up front. Once you're set up, describe what you want and Scout builds it, grounded in your work.
🟣CodeDeveloper basics help - vibe coding welcome. Work with GitHub Copilot on the surface of your choice - VS Code, the Copilot CLI, or the GitHub Copilot app. You don't need to be an expert; you can get a long way with vibe coding, just closer to the code.
