Develop your first agent

In this lab, you'll develop an AI agent using Microsoft Foundry and Visual Studio Code.

Prerequisites and setup

Before you start, you will need:

• A Microsoft Azure subscription in which you have permission to provision a Microsoft Foundry resource, deploy models, and publish agents.
• A GitHub account.
• Visual Studio Code installed.
• Python version 3.13.xx or later installed.
• Git installed.
• Azure CLI installed.
